What can private sector + employers do today?

 1.     Provide PPE.  In most service industry jobs, your employees must interact with the public, increasing the risk to themselves, to you, and to your customers or clients.  Providing and modeling the wearing of masks and gloves, and hand-washing materials and stations, shows respect for health and safety.  Your clients and customers may see your efforts and feel safer as well.

2.     Pay Extra Attention to High-Risk Communities. Certain communities face even greater risk – this includes incarcerated people, homeless people, and people who lack the financial and other resources to self-quarantine for weeks.  Reducing the risk of infection in these communities – by providing housing, food, or reliable resources, could decrease infection for everyone.

3.     Apply for Small Business Loans Immediately. The relief that is available may take more time than you think to arrive.
